Urban Farm Includes is an initiative developed by DID MY Academy Sdn Bhd and DID MY Innovation Sdn Bhd in partnership with Havva and Sensegrass International to empower the PWD/OKU trainees upon their graduation from DID MY Academy.
This Urban Farm was developed in collaboration with other fellow Social Enterprises involved in Hydroponics and Aquaponics namely Havva Aqua Farm and Smart Agriculture Farm Developer Sensegrass International.
Our PWD/OKU and other beneficiaries with medically challenging conditions are trained by our fellow partners in managing and operating an Aquaponics or Hydroponics farms. Our Urban Farms are targeted to be located in University Campuses and Private/International Schools ground with an objective to foster more inclusion and empathy building between the students and our Special Farmers. All of our harvests will be used as the main ingredients in our freshly baked Urban Farm Sandwiches, Salads and Bestos to the General Public thru the Online Food Delivery Services partners. All nett profits from this Enterprise will be shared with our Farmers with an objective to helping them to attain financial self sufficiency.

Our Special Farmers
KAMAL AZURA ALI
Age: 40+ , Married
Born and bred in Terengganu; father of 2 children aged 10 years old and 8 years old.
KAMAL AZURA ALI was a chartered accountant in an engineering company for 15 years before being diagnosed with cataract and glaucoma in 2016 which reduced his vision significantly. Upon his diagnosis, he had to leave his career as an accountant .
After the eye surgery, he lose a significant amount of his vision. As he was unable to find a suitable job, he approached SOCSO for help. SOCSO connected him to various companies but unfortunately, he was not called for any interviews.
In September , he managed to get our contact and came for the first interview. Upon understanding his condition, he was trained to be an urban farmer. Equipped with his willingness to learn new skill, he is on his journey to a new and exciting career path.
